ATTEMPT TO BE MADE ON TEN MILE RECORD

The former Whakatane atjilete Noel Taylor, who ran third in the six miles flat race in the Empire Games at Auckland on Saturday is to attempt the New Zealand ten mile record at a sports meeting at Tauranga on Easter Monday. Taylor is the present national title holder for the six miles and is making the run at Tauranga at his own request.

He will make his attempt towards the end of the meeting.
