A feature of the game was the fine bowling of Malaquin for P. and T. and Ross and Sykes for Taneatua. EDGECUMBE BEATEN BY GALATEA In a friendly match between Edgecumbe and Galatea, Edgecumbe was defeated by 12 runs. Edgecumbe captain, K. Tunnicliffe, batted right through and made 75 runs. Bowling for Edgecumbe, B. Tunnicliffe took 5 for 20, P. Brown 4 for 42. Galatea top scorers were M. Caie and R. Nettleton, who scored 29 each.
