Preparing For Grain Rush
The Railways Department has been placing empty wagons at “strategic sidings” throughout Canterbury! in readiness for the rush of grain to railheads and stores. Already grain has, begun to trickle in from parts of North Canterbury, where harvesting is earlier than elsewhere.
