L. DAVIES DOES WELL AT TANEATUA
Shooting
Members of the Whakatane Legion Miniature Rifle were guests at the first shoot of 1950 held by the Taneatua Defence Rifle Club. L. Davies (Taneatua) topped scores on the 200 yard shooting, and after a shoot off with J. Butler, R. Bell, R. McGougan, H. Mole, C. Bathe and Miss A. Bathe, was successful in the five second snap shooting sweepstake. Conditions were good, with only a light cross wind. Scores were:— L. Davies 38, W. Mayo 37, C. Bathe 37, T .Barr 36, W.
