More Butter Sought For Casual Workers

The matter of the low butter ration allowed for casual labour on farms was the subject of discussion at the December meeting of the Northern Thames executive of Federated Farmers who carried a resolution that the matter be investigated and application made for an increase in the ration. The matter was brought before the meeting by Mr W. H. Cheale of Netherton who stated that the ration allowed was 'quite ridiculous. He urged the sub-provincial executive to make the necessary representations to have the ration increased.
