Girls' Marching

UNITED PREPARING FOR FEBRUARY 25 Following their encouraging display at the Bay of Plenty Marching Championships at Tauranga last week the Whakatane United Girls’ marching team has settled down to solid training for the marching day, which is to be held in conjunction with the annual show of the Whakatane and Rangitaiki A. and P. Society, on February 25. Several outside teams have signified their intention of being present for the competition and entries ave expected from all centres in the Bay of Plenty as well as a number outside the district. Beside this date the Whakatane team is also preparing for a competition to be held at Opotiki on March 11. Because the meeting has been cancelled the team will not be travelling to Te Puke tomorrow.
