VVHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL DOG REGISTRATION Pursuant 'to Section 8 of “The Dog Registration Act 1908” and amendments, notice is hereby given that the fee for the registration of dogs for the year 1950 is now payable to Mr A. Carling; Registrar of Dogs, at the County Council Chanjbers, Whakatane. The amount of the fee has been fixed as follows: For each dog kept solely for the purpose of destroying rabbits 3/-. For each dog kept solely for the purpose of herding or driving sheep or cattle 3/- (maximum of 3 dogs). For any other dog 10/-. HYDATID DISEASE. In accordance with the provisions of the Dogs’ Registration (Prevention of Hydatid Disease) Regulations, 1938, all owners must, when registering dogs, purchase a supply of the approved remedy for Hydatid Disease, the charge for which is 1/for each dog registered. The Registrar has been instructed to destroy all unregistered dogs, and dog owners are advised that the maximum penalty for harbouring an unregistered dog is £5. 6/1/50. C. G. LUCAS, 28 County Clerk.
