Beacon’s Christmas Break
After , this coming Friday, December 23, there will be no Beacon issued until January 4. Advertisers wishing to change existing advertisements are requested to have their copy for the January 4 issue in the Beacon’s office TODAY. Positively NO ADVERTISEMENTS will be accepted for Friday’s issue after 3.30 p.m. tomorrow. News items and advertisements intended for publication on January 4 should be left in the letter slot in the factory door during the holidays, or delivered or telephoned to the editor’s office on Tuesday, January 3, between 10 a.m. and noon, or between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. The clerical branch will not reopen until Thursday, January 5.
To peel hard-boiled eggs quickly, give them a sharp tap on the table and roll them firmly two or three times. This loosens the shell and skin which will come off practically whole.
