The proposal of the Whakatane Borough Council- to convert the Hillcrest Cemetery into a lawn cemetery has been approved by the Whakatane County Council, which has agreed to share the cost oh a fifty-fifty basis. The cost of preparing the first acr,e is estimated at £250.,
