Nukuhou W.I. Has Good Meeting

Mrs McGillivray presided over a well attended meeting this month of the Nukuhou Women’s Institute. Mrs Spanhake and Mrs T. Croft were welcomed as new members.

Carols were sung by members, Mrs King acting as accompanist. A special prize donated by Mrs Wylde for the soft toy competition, was won by Mrs Poole 1, Mrs Craig 2, and Mrs Englebretson 3. Special prize for sweet peas, was won by Mrs M. King. Monthly competitions: Best vegetable, Mrs Doran 1, Mrs Spanhake 2, Mi’s M. King 3; best single flower, Mrs Sinclair 1, Mrs Craig 2, Mrs Poole 3; multiple flower, Mrs Wylde 1, Mrs M. King 2, Mrs Grant 3. ,
