More Street Cleaning

Thfe possibility of the streets being clean more often was suggested by Cr R. Morpeth at Monday'night’s meeting of the Whakatane Borough ■Council. He said that although the streets were cleaned regularly it Was amazing how quickly rubbish accumulated. It was suggested that more rubbish baskets might be a solution but Cr Morpeth «aid he still considered the streets should be cleaned more often. It was decided to leave the question to the works committee to deal with over thie holiday period.
