NEW SEASON OPENS IN JANUARY

Commencing on January 14 the weekly competition shoots of the Whakatane Archery Club are to be held each Saturday next year with practices at 1 p.m. and scoring from 1.45 p.m., it was decided at a meeting of the club presided over by the president, Mr H. D. London. Eor this year, the last shoot will be held on Sunday under the usual conditions.

Next year’s activities will include an attempt to make grass rope targets similar to those used in New Zealand championships and it is hoped that a small shed may soon be erqcted .to house all, the targets arid other equipment." '~ '
