Protecting Blankets An excellent way of protecting blankets from moths when they are not in use is to wash them before storing them away and dissolve a block of camphor in the final rinsing water. This will distribute the smell/ of camphor evenly over the blanket and so is better than packing a few blocks in the folds here and there.
