PAT EAGLE REARS CHAMPION CALF AT W AIM ANA SCHOOL
Patricia Eagle was the owner of the successful champion calf to win the Victory Cup at the annual calf judging day of the Waimana School. Of the large number of fine animals paraded her’s was adjudged the champion by the judge, Mr R. Mason, of Opotiki, who awarded it 90 points out of a possible 100. The placed Waimana calves competed in the Bay of Plenty Calf Club Asociation’s Show at Opotiki on Thursday. A display of floral work and cooking by the school children was judged by Mesdames N. Eagle and M. King. Calf results:—
Junior Class: Patricia Eagle 90 points 1, Lynette 87 2, Gordon Looney 86 3, Rosalie Kelsen 79 4, Vaughan Mitchell 70 5. Intermediate Class: lan McConnell 82 1.
