Farewell To Vicar
The Vicar of Whakatane, Rev J. C. J. Wilson, L.Th., leaves Whakatane tips week-end to take’ up his new charge at Taradale, Hawkes Bay. He and Mrs Wilson were guests of honour at a parish social last night, during which Mr C. R. Coates, on behalf of parishioners., presented Mrs Wilson with a gold watch and Mr Wilson with a substantial cheque us a mark of appreciation of their services here over the last 7 years. There were other •presentations oh behalf of Church organisations.
