EDGECUMBE TO MEET P. & T. ON SUNDAY In the Whakatane cricket competition on Sunday P. and T. are to play Edgecumbe at Edgecumbe and both clubs have selected strong teams for this encounter. In the other game Te Teko plays Taneatua on the former’s home ground, this being the first game Taneatua have had in the last two weeks. Waimana* has the bye this week. The other Whakatane Club, United, is to travel to Matamata tomorrow to meet the Matamata Club.

Throughout the week-end only one cricket match will be played at Whakatane and this is to take place tomorrow when a Whakatane old boys team meets Whakatane High School. All games will be all day matches.

Edgecumbe cricket team to play P. and T. on Sunday will be selected from the following:— L. 1 Thurlow, K. O. Tunnilpliffe', E. W. Tunnicliffe, T. Brown, K. L. Watson, R.' Hunter, R. Hill, T. McManus, J. Meikle, N. Heath, S. Andrews, A. Blake, V. Plank, C. Blake. Whakatane Old Boys’ cricket team to play Whakatane High School at the Domain tomoirow at 10 a.m.:—

Paton, McKenzie, Littlejohn, Jones, Shapley, Laloli, Comiskey, Chadwick, Goodall, Baker, Hudson, Taylor.

Whakatane P. and T. cricket team to play Edgecumbe on Sunday, all players to be at the Domain at 8.30 a.m.:— ' / J. B. Rivett, Malaquin, Cleland, Shapley, Beasley, W. D. Rivett, McKenzie, Whiteside, Seebeck, Paton, Fitzsimmons, Littlejohn.
