Mr C. C. Graham, of Whakatane left yesterday for a short visit to JAuckland. He returns on Friday. Mr E. B. Corbett, M.P. for Egmont, spoke at Whakatane last ' night and is due to leave for Opotiki today. Mrs A. W. Winstone, at present visiting Wellington on Red Cross business, returns to Whakatane on Friday. / : > Mr J. W. Robertson left Whakatane 3msterday on transfer to the - Whangarei Branch of the Bank of Australasia. Mr R. R. Civil, formerly of Rotorua, arrived on Monday to take his place. ~ . Mrs L. Balfour, of Gisborne, Provincial Girl Guide Commissioner, visited Opotiki on Monday night. Amongst the Guides she met there were a number from Waimana, who made a special trip through.
