I WHAKATANE CLUB CLOSES SEASON \ With the course in a better condition than at any time during the history of the club the past season had been entirely successful, the vice president, Mr N. H. E. Hockin, said at the closing of the Whakatane Golf Club on Saturday. This had been assisted materially by the greenkeeper, Mr B. Benson, and he paid a tribute to Mr Benson’s work in keeping the course up to top playing order in the last season.
