CALEDONIAN SOCIETY
Sir, —After reading “Bonnie Scotland’s” letter in Friday’s Beacon it strikes me that he and other so-called “true Scots” are taking the wrong attitude. Instead of drawing away from the Caledonian Society I think that they should take a greater part in its affairs and try to straighten out any possible internal bickering there may be. Although some of the matters brought up for discussion may seem trivial to him it is right that grievances should be allowed to be discussed and considered in a truly democratic way with true Scottish fairmindedness. Come on, all you true Scots! Don’t give up because you can’t have things how you would like them to be personally. Stick to the Society and try to make it the organisation all of us want it to be. Yours etc., ALSO SCOTTISH.
