Milk For Babies Should Be Kept Clean And Covered
Mi]k is undoubtedly the best food for babies, but ur. :ortunately it is best for bacteria too. In it the latter thrive and mult, Hy very quickly, especially if the milk is a little warm, as it is in the summer if we are not very careful to keep it cool. There are various types of bacteria which cause summer diarrhoea and other digestive upsets, and the most common way for young children to contract thes eailments is through contaminated milk. Moreover, the very young are much more susceptible to infecito nof any kind than are adults, so that it is up to us to do all we can to prevent them from being infected. Very much has been done in this century to reduce the incidence of infections of the digestive tract, but too many cases still occur and take a heavy toll of young lives. The most important step in prevention is the careful handling of milk.
