Big Bonfire Planned
There is a plan afoot to have Guy Fawkes night celebrated at Whakatane with all the traditional trimmings. The organisation of- a huge public bonfire party has been undertaken energetically by, Mr L. Luke, once famed for his Awakeri bonfires but now resident in town. He aims to publish his plans on Friday.
