Miniature Rifles

ROWING CLUB ENTERS STRONG CHALLENGE Possibly the 'strongest challenge of the year will be faced by the Whakatane Legion of Frontiersmen Miniature Rifle Club when they will meet a formidable crew or rather team from the Whakatane Rowing Club tomorrow night. Containing sound shots ,in either team a close shoot is expected and while the Frontiersmen are confident of retaining their unbeaten- record the Rowing Club are equally determined that they will be the first challengers to break the sequence . More support is wanted by the rifle club to keep it functioning and anyone who is interested in shooting is invited to attend tomorrow night at the Whakatane winter show building. During the summer outdoor shoots are' planned for Saturday mornings. , ,

Both men and women are invited to join the club and free tuition is available to any novice.
