Pipe Band To Attend Reunion

The Whakatane Caledonian Society’s pipe band is to take part in a reunion of Bay of Plenty and Waikato pipe bands to be held at Tauranga on November 5. The full band will be present and 200 pipers from the South Auckland district are expected to be present at the gathering. Eleven bands will attend and beside Whakatane the Eastern Bay of Plenty is also to be represented by Opotiki. The Whakatane St. Andrew’s Pipe Band will not be taking part.
