Manawahe W.I. Monthly Meeting

Mrs E. M. Goldsmith presided over a good attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the Manawahe Women’s Institute. Mrs E.. Withy, Matata, gave a most interesting and helpful talk on gardening and distributed cuttings and plants to members. The monthly competitions were well contested, the results being:—• Decorated cup and saucer, Mrs King 1, Mrs Wilding 2; best bloom, Mrs Mikkleson 1, Mrs Thompson 2; best shrub, Mrs Thompson 1, Mrs Bowden 2; vegetable, Mrs King 1, Mrs Bowes 2. The hostesses were Mesdames Mikkleson and King.
