Farewell Evening At Manawahe

On Friday evening Mr and Mrs Bob Erskine were guests of honour at a farewell gathering in the Manawahe hail. They left on Monday to live in the Rotorua district. Having taken up a farm in bush 28 years ago and worked it ever since, they had made many friends at Manawahe and throughout the district. Those friends felt they could not let the occasion pass without a substantial mark of their esteem in the form of a presentation, which was suitably acknowledged. Dancing rounded off a happy gathering for a merry crowd, Monte Carlo winners' being Miss B. Sweetman and Mr B. Kennon and Mr and Mrs B. Kane.
