Parcels for Britain and Europe should be posted by October 15 if they are to reach their destinations in time for delivery by Christmas. This was announced by the Post Office, but it was stated that only an approximate closing date could be given:’"
A porcelain bath can be cleaned with a cloth dipped in kerosene. If a rusty water mark is hard to remove, make a paste with whiting and kerosene and rub well into the mark. Then wash off the kerosene with soap and water.
