Tenders For Hydro Schemes
Tenders for equipment for .the 100,000 kilowatt generating station to be built at Whakamaru on the Waikato River above Maraetai are to be called by the Government this week. This has been announced by the Minister of Works, Mr Semple, who said that at the same time tenders would be called for the plant for the Roxburgh scheme in Otago. This had been approved by Cabinet.
