F. CAMERON COMPETES WELL AT AUCKLAND

Owing to a westerly storm rendering Muriwai Beach unsafe for high speeds the Auckland Motor Cycle Club would not allow any riders to attempt to gain their “Gold Stars” last week-end. However, several riders obtained permission to make timed runs.

Frank Cgmeron, Whakatane, made fastest time in the 500 c.c. class when he averaged 93.87 m.p.h. Second fastest time was 90.20 m.p.h.

Enthusiasts of the Whakatane Club are confident that next Sunday will see a new beach record established when F. Cameron will make an attempt on the Ohope beach record.
