Taneatua-Opouriao Calf Clubs Strong

Taneatua and Opouriao Schools are showing considerable interest in their Calf Club movement this year, and approximately 40 calves are enrolled between the two schools. A special Senior and Junior class is being set up for the Maori children, who are also eligible to compete in the various other classes.

A field day will be held early in December when all calves will be paraded and judged. This should be of interest to the district as a whole, as it is understood there are some very good types of calves heing reared by the children.
