F. CAMERON COMPETING AT AUCKLAND Chief interest in the local motor cycle world this weekend centres around the Auckland Motor Cycle Club’s “Gold Star Day.” At this meeting, on the Muriwai Beach, Frank Cameron, Whakatane, will attempt to win one of the muchly-prized Gold Stars. These are awarded to those riders and machines which average a speed of TOO m.p.h. or over during the. two " runs over the electrically timed distance. If he is successful it is almost certain that he will break the longstanding Ohope Beach record of 101.4 m.p.h., when the docal club holds a similar meeting on the following Sunday. '
