Farewell Evening At Edgecumbe
The residence of Mr and Mrs L. D. Martin, Edgecumbe, was the scene of a pleasant social evening oil Saturday when the management and staff of Tunnicliffe’s Timber Company gathered to farewell Mr and Mrs V. Green on the eve of their departure to take up residence at Hastings. Games and singing provided the entertainment. Mr R. Duckworth presented Mr Green with a fountain pen from the staff. Mr Green expressed appreciation for the gift and said he had enjoyed his stay in the district and was sorry to leave so many friends.
