Sir, —In Wednesday’s issue of the Beacon you have a news item telling us that a London store is now trying out the American idea of a grocery cafeteria. Evidently New Zealand is more modern than England. Ten or 12 years ago I used to shop at the Farmers Trading Co., Hobson Street, Auckland, where I bought all my groceries in their grocery cafeteria. Did America copy us? Yours etc., “NEW ZEALANDER”
