New Industry Of Rubber Plastics

/ A new plastics industry in Holland based on natural rubber and hydrochloric acid, and manufactur ing packing film by a simple process, is being established. The Rubber-Stitching Delft (Rubber Foundation), is associated through the International Rubber Development Committee with similar organisations in Britain and France, has developed the newmaterial and applied for patients, hydrochloric acid is abundantly available in Holland.

During recent years natural rubber has felt competition not only from synthetic rubbers, but also from plastics. By the new process natural rubber growers can hope to recover part of their market in this competitive field.
