Safety First Signs Wanted At Te Teko
The possibility of having safety road signs erected at Te Teko for children is to be explored by the Te Teko Branch of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers, it was decided at the monthly meeting held at the home of Mrs Costello. With a view of having these signs up as soon as possible the Automobile Association is to be contacted
There was some discussion on the special welcome for Mrs Haldane, Dominion President, at Awakeri on Friday, which will be made in conjunction with the Awaken Branch. Mrs Thomas was elecie.d delegate to the Te Teko Farewell and Welcome Home Committee while Mrs R. Walker was welcomed as a new member. Competition results: — Mystery parcel, Mrs Walker 1; best bloom. Mrs Hallett 1, Mrs Hall 2; vegetable, Mrs Hallett 1. Mrs Butler 2: fruit, Mrs Hallett 1, Mrs Jamieson 2. Hostesses were Mesdames Watson and Meinchir.
