The successful applicants are given supervised and interesting field training in the various forests of New Zealand. Some .are selected to study at a University for a B.Sc degree to qualify as professional foresters in the State Forest Service : others continue field training in all branches of forestry, ultimately to qualify as forest rangers. If you hold University Entrance or School Certificate, are of good physique, resourceful and have capacity for leadership, forestry offers you a healthy and promising future.
