LICENSING CONTROL COMMISSION PUBLIC ENQUIRY NOTICE is hereby given that the Commission will hold PUBLIC SITTINGS at the undermentioned times and placed:— •1. ROTORUA Courthouse, commencing 9.30 a.m. Monday, 3rd October, 1949, Wednesday, sth October (and succeeding 2 days, as necessary), for all matters within the Licensing Districts for BAY OF PLENTY, that portion of . TAURANGA nearer by road to Rotorua, and that portion of WAIMARINO outside the proclaimed King Country area but including Rangitaiki and North- of that township. 2. TAURANGA Courthouse, commencing at 9.30 a.m. on Tuesday, 11th October, 1949 (and on succeeding days, as necessary) for all matters within the Licensing District •of TAURANGA nearest by road to Tauranga. Note: Boundaries of the above Licensing Districts may be ascertained from the Clerks of the respective Committees at Rotorua (for B. of P.), at Tauranga for (T.), and at Taihape for that portion of Waimarino mentioned. The enquiry will be limited strictly to matters within the said Licensing Districts and that Northern portion of Waimarino indicated. PURPOSES OF ENQUIRY: (a) To investigate the RE-DIS-TRIBUTION, the NEED for new PUBLICAN’S and WHOLESALE licenses, and the possible SURRENDER or CANCELLATION of unnecessary licenses. (b) To make further enquiry into the NEED for TOURIST-HOUSE licenses. Notices to parties: All persons desiring to give evidence before the Commission are required (a) to notify the Secretary not later than Monday, 26th September; (b) as they come forward to give evidenceor make submissions at the hearing, to hand to the Secretary five typed copies of same.
