Bay Executive Of W.D.F.F. Meets

The quarterly meeting of the Bay of Plenty Province Executive of the W.D.F.F. was held in the County Council Chambers. After the president opened the meeting delegates were asked to stand in silence to honour the memory of Mrs Fox, of Opotiki, who had died.

The president welcomed delegates from the branches' at Awakeri, Opotiki, Taneatua, Murupara, Galatea and Te Teko.

Arrangements were made regarding the visit of the Dominion President, Mrs Taldane, to the Bay district from September 20 to 24. A report on the Inter-province Conference held at Tauranga was given by Mrs S. Cannell Mrs Barr gave her housekeeping report, stating that the province had one housekeeper who was giving very satisfactory reports from the district. The conference delegate, Mrs Harty, gave a very comprehensive report on the business accomplished at Wellington, and all delegates were strong in their, support of remits dealing with justice and criminal offences. Mrs Martin thanked all those who gave their reports so ably. The meeting was closed with < vote of thanks to the chair and the County Council.
