Successful Paddy's Market Held At Nukuhou North

A successful Paddy’s Market was held last week at Nukuhou North. The funds raised from the function are to go towards building a community centre hall.

There were several kinds of stalls, meat, vegetables, cakes, sweets, clothes, ice cream, soft drinks, farm produce and firewood, and a variety of farm implements and a baby’s pram were auctioned.

Mr H. White was announcer over the loud speaker, and with witty sayings, kept the large crowd in a gay mood.

A dance and auction was held in the evening and this proved successful. King’s orchestra supplied the music and donated their fees towards the funds Mr T. Doran was M.C.
