New Drug Said To Cure Alcoholism
The new Danish drug antabuse, claimed as a cure for alcoholism, has been used successfully for the first time in Sydney. A doctor says it had “dramatic effects” on a young alcoholic. Since beginning treatment, he had been unable to drink more than five glasses of beer, although previously he could drink all day, the doctor said. The doctor believes antabuse is the best cure for alcoholism and plans to treat further patients.
