When Postal Department tele*graphists sat for an examination at Canberra, under the supervision of a Public Service Board official, one candidate, temporarily stumped by a question, trapped his desk; lightly with his pencil. “I don’t know who’s doing that,” said the supervisor, “but you'll have to stop sending those Morse signals.”
