Awakeri P.T.A .

At the monthly meeting of the Awakeri P.T.A. the old settlers of the district of 30-40 years standing were entertained. A very happy evening was spent talking about old times. Films were shown. Mrs Carter sang. ! Mr Luke opened the conversation about what brought him to the district. followed by the following speakers: Messrs "A. Sutherland, Mgr tin, Burr, F. Sumner, F. Mahy, N. W. Carter. / : Supper was then served by Mrs H. Gardner and her willing helpers. Amongst old settlers present: Mr and Mrs Luke, Mr and Mrs Penny, Mr and Mrs A. Barr, Mr and Mrs F. Sumner, Mr and Mrs Baty, Mr and Mrs F. Mahy, Mr and Mrs S. Mahy, Mr S. T. Keen, Mr Brizzle, Mr Luxton, Mr J. Henry, Mr and Mrs Sutherland, Mr Martin, Mr and Mrs N. Carter, Mr and Mrs D. McDonald.
