WHAKATANE HARBOUR BOARD PURSUANT to Section 8 of The Public Bodies Leases Act, 1908, tenders aire hereby invited for a lease as one lot of those pieces of land being Lots 35 and 45 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland as Number 13036 part Sections 1, 4 and 5 of Block II of the Whakatane Survey District. Upset Rental £4O. CONDITIONS OF TENDER. 1. Tenders shall be in writing addressed to The Secretary, Whakatane Harbour Board, Whakatane, and marked on outside “Tender for Lease” and be accompanied by one half year’s rent. 2. Tenders shall close at noon on Friday the 30th day of September. 1949. The highest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. 3. Within one month after acceptance of Tender the Lessee shall execute a Lease in conformity v/ith the subjoined conditions which Lease shall be prepared by the Board’s Solicitor and the costs thereof shall be paid by the Lessee. MATERIAL CONTENTS OF LEASE. 1. The Lease shall be for a term of 14 years with a perpetual right of renewal for terms of 14 years each in accordance with the provisions of the First Schedule of “The Public Bodies Leases Act, 1S08.” 2. The Lessee covenants to pay rent half-yearly in advance and all rates and taxes to refrain from offensive trading, to repair and maintain, to make sanitary installation, to erect a building of value of at least £4,000 within two years and not to assign lease before such erection. 3. The Board reserves the right to alter, defer or abandon any of its proposals of sub_ division, (reading, rights of way. access, reserves or works of any kind not yet carried out. 4.
