Badminton

WHAKATANE TO MEET TAURANGA

Tomorrow the first inter-centre badminton match will be played at Whakatane when Tauranga meets Whakatane in a friendly game. Timed to start at 7 p.m. in the winter show building, the tournament is expected to last some time and will go on until all matches are played. Strong teams, both men and women, have been selected to represent Whakatane and the progress the sport has made in the town will be indicated in the performances of these players against the experienced Tauranga Centre.
