MISSING PLANTS
Sir, —Our illustrious Mr Ice Plant (what may be his name) should find out first before rushing Into print. Suitable ice plants in a number of varieties and in quantity is hard to procure and only last week our first order arrived and late in the season for planting. If Mr Ice Plant had really wanted information the undersigned would gladly have enlightened mm on any matters. Our Society has been very busy this, winter on several jobs and '•ve are very short of manual labour (not the sort who stand off at arms length and criticise behind a.nom-de-plume). If you are of the good hard working type your sub and manual help would be appreciated this Saturday at the Rock when our fifth working bee of this winter will be held. In conclusion our Society is very short of active members and is always keen to listen to constructive advice and criticism from <• known sources and we hope that our Mr Ice Plant may blossom out and join our little band of workers. G. W. KEMP. Hon. Sec., Whakatane Beautifying Society.
