Novelty Quiz At Awakeri Hall Dance Was Huge Success
A fair crowd attended the Awakeri Hall Committee’s dance on Saturday, when the novelty quiz was introduced. The duties of quizmaster were very capably carried out by Mr Colin Mason, who held the interest of a large audience. The winner for, the evening was Miss Pat Fergusson and runner-up Mr K. Donaldson. None of the entrants managed to answer the jackpot question. At the next dance on August J 3 this q*. estion will be worth £2 and £1 for the person securing all points correct in the simple quiz would make the winner’s evening successful to the extent of £3. The quiz was and will continue to be held during supper. Last week’s home-made supper, ser ed by the local women was much appreciated by the large crowd. The duties of M.C. were ably carried out by Mr H." C. Carter.
