Junior Competitions For Whakatane

A group of Knox Church people, feeling confident, that Whakatane offers a field of interest to be developed, is planning four Junior Competitions in the second .week of the school holidays, beginning on Tuesday, August 30. Schedules have schools #nd to other bBHH group*, -muf that young singers/ mentalists, Highland dancers the like will come forward to cH monstrate and develop their gifM and to be helped 'by the guidancl that competent judges qan give. I There will- be a few items fcfl adult competition, so that grown" ups might share in a cultural exercise that should enrich community life. Mrs Cleaver, of Hawera Street, has volunteex-ed to handle telephone inquiries, and will readily give any information desired.
