Many features new to. Whakatane are to be found at the new “Nibble Nook” (trade name for a milk barcum snack bar) opened on Friday afternoon by Kerridge-Odeon next door to the Grand Theatre. This “Nook” is one of a chain which now includes about 140 such places and. will ultimately include 186. "There is no doubt that the place does attract. Fluorescent lighting from cunnungly concealed points gives an air of brightness without garishness, and the clinically clean layout makes food contamination seem virtually impossible. Add to that the sumptuous feel of soft carpeting underfoot and softly-padded seats and backrests. Here ..indeed is comfort, and a feeling of warmth and welcome.
