Eye Injured By Flying Wood

While chopping wood at his home at Paroa late Sunday afternoon Mr Peter Matahaere, aged 25, suffered a severe injury to the right eye by a piece of flying wood, which neces* sitated his removal to the Whaka« tane District Hospital. After examination and treatment he was sent by bus for further treatment and examination to the Waikato Hospital at Hamilton.

In some cars the engine has to be lifted out to get the engine sump off or for even minor reconditioning. Bumpers are too close to the body and too pliable for protection in even minor collisions.
