“Hospital Day” At Edgecumbe W.I.
The monthly meeting of the Edgecumbe Women’s Institute was held one week early this month on account of the coming Drama Festival, Mrs J. Simpson, vice-presi-dent, being in the chair. As it was “Hospital Day” all competition entries were donated to the hospital. A good collection of tray cloths, jams and cakes were on display, and a large number of magazines also were forwarded to the hospital. Mrs S. Hodson in keeping with the theme of the day, gave a very interesting and instructive talk on Home Nursing, and on conclusion was accorded a hearty Vote of thanks and presented with, a shoulder spray. . New members welcomed were Mesdames Sutherland, Pepperell, and Fenton.
Drawing of officers for "Members Day resulted: Mrs Hall, Snr. president and Mrs Andrew McLean, sec-, retary. Mrs Magee kindly offered to pack the Link parcel of tinned milks. Birthday sprays were presented to Mesdames Speirs and Blair.

Magee 2, Mrs J. Sim 3; jam, Mrs K. O. Tunnicliffe 1, Mrs J. C. Tunnicliffe 2, Mrs T. Blair 3; flower, Mrs H. M. Carter 1, Mrs J. C. Tunnicliffe 2, Mrs Crang 3.
Hostesses" were Mesdames J. Crang, W. Goldsmith, L. Wilson, Le Lievre, J. Speirs, S. Learning and W. Hunter. 7 :
