Good Attendance At Manawahe W.I.
A very - good attendance of members at the July meeting of the Manawahe Women’s Institute was presided over by Mrs E. Goldsmith. There was some discussion on Corso activities in Europe and Rewi Alley’s great work in China training boys and girls to be future trainers in £ variety of industries. A Mime was presented by Mesdames A. Thompson, J. Morice, N. Goldsmith and T. Baldwin.
Monthly competition results: — Knitted article, Mrs Wilding 1, Mesdames A. Thompson and Goldsmith 2; shrub, Mrs Ansell 1, Mrs Bowden 2; vegetable, Mrs Bov/den 1, Mrs King 2; bloom, Mrs W. Kendall 1, Mesdames Appleby, Bowden, and Baldwin 2 equal.
